if you are familiar with the photographer ben watts, then you might know the term “big up,” which is slang for “giving props” and is also the title of ben’s photography book. if you aren't familiar with him or his work, ben watts is a very successful commercial/editorial/fashion/street photographer with clients ranging from GQ, Interview, Elle, the Gap, Nike, Roxy, and many many more. his images have always inspired me, and he is one of the photographers that i have a permanent link to in my tool bar (ben watts). recently i was searching youtube and came across a series of interviews with ben conducted by designing minds. thought I would share them with you…

I will be traveling east all day but wanted to leave you with a new post before doing so….well its sort of a new post as some of you may recall I posted a similar link a few months ago…

I shoot anywhere between 20-30 weddings a year and love doing so but I haven’t limited my business to just weddings and have developed a commercial site as well…i’ve always felt that shooting a diversity of content provides an opportunity to look at things differently….i feel fortunate to have the opportunity to do both weddings and commercial...what i have recently found very interesting is that I have had wedding clients hire me while only having viewed/known about my commercial work and have had commercial clients hire me having only viewed/known about my wedding work….the two sites have always been seperated but i plan to change that in the next few months....well anyway here is a link to that commercial site if you are interested…

last friday i shot the wedding of matt + daniela at the ZLAC Rowing Club in pacific beach. a cool little venue on the bay + cool people = cool photos...
